Make sure your website is secure

You should take online security seriously. Not only search engines will rate you better but your customers will have the piece of mind that the information they share with you is secure. All you need to do is open a web browser go to the address bar and type your web site's URL. It should look like this: https://www.your-domain.com and hit enter to load the page. Once you see your website loaded in your browser look to the left of the web address and you will see one of three icons:

•   Connection is secure 
•   Info or connection is Not secure
•   Connection is Not secure or Dangerous

If you see something other than the lock indicating that the connection is secure you need to take action. You can contact us in case you need help.

See how your website shows in search results

Every page in a website has a title and a description. Those are two elements that most people don't know exist but they define how the page looks in search results. Here is how to see your page as it looks in search results:

• Go to https://www.google.com
• In the search box type: site:www.your-domain.com

This will list all pages on your site that are indexed in Google and how they look in search results. You can adjust the page titles and descriptions to improve your serch listings. 

Get your business listed on Google

Google My Business is one of the most important tasks in your online presence. Your business listing plays role in many search features like:

• Google Maps
• Snippets
• Images
• Business Hours
• Etc. 

Go to: https://www.google.com/business/ and complete your business profile.
Visit that page regularly to make sure your listing is up-to-date and accurate as other people may sugest edits to your profile at any time.
